I’ve felt no significant side effects from S2 use and regarding the Scalar, it’s definitely if gradually, improved my sleep – I now wake refreshed with more energy and a bonus: my greying hair has regained its natural colour! 
I’ve seen others report the hair effect after using Scalar too. I’ve recently got an earthing sheet which seems beneficial. Life is good (again!)
